The bank endorsed the play during a courtesy call by the cast and crew of the popular play to the Marina head office of the bank yesterday, Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

Speaking during the visit, the Executive Producer of Isale, Edgar Joseph, thanked the management and staff of the bank for the support for the project. “This is indeed heartwarming and we appreciate the entire Wema Bank management and their staff for their support for the arts especially the support for Isale Eko which is gradually becoming a major force in Nigerian theatre space.”

He thanked the cast and crew for the visit in show of their appreciation and promised to further work with the group in forging an enduring partnership.

Recall that iconic entertainment mogul, Yemi Shodimu was recently appointed producer of the highly popular ‘Isale Eko’ franchise. With his new role, Yemi would be bringing on board his many years of experience on stage to the production.

This year’s showings of ‘Isale Eko’ would be highlighting the very many developmental policies of the Lagos State Government as led by His Excellency, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode who is steadily achieving his oft-stated vision of turning Lagos into a truly global city with the very best in modern infrastructure.

The play running this June, would be directed by highly talented and versatile William Benson who directed the last showing.
