Yesterday was my mentor’s birthday. Albert Okumagba is so many things to so many people. He it is, that has entered some of us and showed us how to have very huge dreams and the balls to follow those dreams through. Funnily enough yesterday was also the birthday of his right hand man, Chibundu. These two have come a long way and still have a lot of things to contribute to this nation. I wish them both a very happy birthday and a glowing future in the service of the nation.
So that is how I now wrote a glowing birthday prose in honour of these two investment banking geniuses and posted it to over 250 people on my phone including five groups that I belong. The write up received maximal appreciation with a lot of people calling for a full write up to be posted publicly. Someone even asked for a book to be written.
But as in everything Nigerian, the sailor did not like it. He with his brother; the dark one, did not understand why I was posting this on the group. I read their submission and went straight to the loo for that is what you do when you do not want to dissipate energy.
Things are happening all over the country. OBJ is decimating the government, Donald Duke’s posters are all over Victoria Island, the size of the posters showing very clearly his reluctance in his quest for power. The government is being reported to start prosecuting those on their list and the Duke’s Summit is getting hotter by the day with masquerade, Shola and doctor squaring out with logic, historical facts and deductive reasoning being the weapons of choice.
So you would understand my reluctance to engage the Sailor and his puny cousin in a battle of emotional dribble when our country is on fire. I remain in the loo enjoying the solitude and the evacuation of waste as I transcend the mundane and into the boisterousness that is in the fight for the very soul of our nation.
Meanwhile Wema Bank has just announced that they are ready and willing to host the cast and crew of Isale Eko. What else can I ask for?
