Why Ikorodu community might produce the next tech geek

Residents and youths in Ikorodu community now have another reason to rejoice as the community just got another fully equipped ICT centre located in the heart of the bubbling community.

The newly constructed centre located Centre at Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu was commissioned on Friday,  March 30, 2018, by Ikorodu Federal lawmaker, Hon. Babajimi Benson.

Speaking at event, Hon Benson assured that more structures are still in the offing adding that the ICT Centre was named in honor of the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, who has done tremendously well towards the development of Ikorodu Division.

In his remarks, the Education Secretary of Ikorodu Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Mr Taiwo Oduloye, expressed joy and enthusiasm towards the performance of Hon. Babajimi Benson and for his tenacity of purpose.

He thanked and appreciated him for his kind gesture in construction, equipping of ICT centre with computers for the people of Ikorodu Division. He also expressed joy for the Block of Classrooms built at Methodist primary School Oke-Eletu, Ijede LCDA.

The newly commissioned ICT Center is proposed to train at least, 1,000 pupils per week. This is planned to spread across the 62 Primary Schools and over 3,000 teaching and non-teaching Staff of Ikorodu Division.
