Festival of colours as residents mark Good Friday carnival in Somolu

It was glitz and glam as the residents of Somolu community, Lagos Mainland, staged the 2018 edition of the annual Good Friday in the area yesterday, Friday, March 30, 2018.

The annual carnival is celebrated by residents of the neighbourhood to usher in the annual Easter celebrations in the community with families including adult and younger folks dressing in different colourful attires to celebrate the day.

The event is marked by a procession to different parts of the community backed by loud music blaring from speakers and musical artistes.

For this year’s event, the procession was led by Hon. Gbolahan Bago-Stowe, the former Chairman of Somolu LG area.
