In the aftermath of the new Lagos Land Use Charge Law and the viral condemnations that followed which led to the slash and the proposed review by the Lagos State House of Assembly, the state lawmakers have scheduled a public hearing on the Land Use Charge.
The public hearing is slated for Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the Lagos Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos Mainland with interested stakeholders, persons or groups advised to come forward to air their thoughts on the law.
Commenting on the development, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa implored Lagos residents and concerned stakeholders to attend the session as the House would deploy the resolutions on the day in ratifying the agreements reached.
Recall that residents including the Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association recently protested the percentage increase in the Land Use Charge.
