Total blackout in Mushin community; See why here

For residents and business owners around Mushin community, Lagos Mainland, the area has been thrown into darkness for few days now.

Due to the darkness, residents have expressed their displeasure on the development stressing that the power distribution company servicing the area should find an urgent solution.

Few hours ago, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, EKEDC, in a direct response to the situation said: “The power outage currently being experienced in Mushin and its environs is due to a fault on our Idi-araba 11kV line and this has affected 75% of our customers on the feeders from that line.

“Our engineers have identified where these faults are, and work is ongoing to repair and restore power supply.”

Presently, the communities affected due to the blackout includes: Itire rd, Agoro str, Ademosun st, Ewe Nla st, Daniel st, Afolarin st, Church st, Bamgboye st, Oluyide st, Isolo st, Onilegogoro, Sholanke, Iyalla, General Hospital rd, Tadeyo st, Lapite st and surrounding environs.

Meanwhile, the management of EKEDC further stated that it “regrets any inconvenience caused by the reduction of supply to its customers within these areas as a result of this and apologizes unreservedly.”
