PHOTOS: Another newborn dumped by the roadside in Agege

Recent developments across the Lagos Mainland show that the decision by some people to dump newborn babies by the roadside or dumpsites is on the increase.

For the third time in less than ten days, residents of Agege community have rescued another newborn baby dumped by the roadside in the community.

According to reports, the wife of the Executive Chairman of Agege LGA, Mrs. Ramot Egunjobi rescued a day old baby dumped by an unknown person on the roadside of Oniwaya in the early hours of yesterday, Friday 9, February 2018.

AgegePulse reported that one Abdul-Ganiu Rilwan had reported the case to Isokoko Police Station, Agege, Lagos Mainland, before Mrs. Egunjobi took it up.

Confirming the incident, Mrs. Egunjobi, confirmed that the one-day old baby was seen inside a sack bag on the street before the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government was contacted.

This development prompted the wife of the council boss to visit the Police station before receiving baby and subsequently taking the baby to Promise Hospital, Dopemu, Lagos Mainland, for proper treatment.

It was learnt that the baby was later handed over to a motherless baby home in Lagos.

Recall that InsideMainland earlier reported how a toddler was dumped in a dumpsite in Igando community.
