Weeks after residents across Lagos Mainland who are serviced by power distribution company, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, shared their complaints on their prepaid meters, the management of the company has reacted to the reports.
The management of the company stated that consumers with prepaid meters may not be able to recharge their meters for more energy credit units for some time.
Mr Godwin Idemudia, the General Manager, Corporate Communications Unit of the company in a statement said the situation is due to some faults with the system.
“We hereby wish to inform all our highly esteemed customers, especially those with prepaid meters, that due to some system fault, many customers may presently not be able to recharge their meters for more energy credit units,” he said.
He, however, said efforts were being made to rectify the fault.
“As frantic efforts are being made to rectify this fault and restore normal vending service within the shortest possible time, we apologise for the inconveniences this may have caused all concerned. Please bear with us.
“While appreciating your unfailing co-operation and loyal patronage, we also assure all of our commitment to continuous optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction at times,” the statement read.
