Gbenga Adeyinka pronounces Baba-Sala dead

Following the rumors that has been in circulation that veteran actor and comedian, Moses-Olaiyaa Adejumo a.k.a Baba sala has has passed on.

The family of the 84 year old icon has debunked the rumors saying that Baba-sala is very much alive. He only recently relocated from his family house in Mushin, Lagos Mainland, to his hometown in Oshogbo.

Speaking with InsideMainland today, December 2,2017 in an interview was one of his biological son, Ayodeji Adejumo who confirmed that his dad (Baba sala) is very much alive and healthy, heΒ  went further to say that he spoke with his dad recently, and that the family of the veteran feels bad to know people wish Baba sala dead.

He said that the rumor started with a popular comedian Gbenga Adeyinka the first, who went about with the rumor that Baba sala has passed on, on his Twitter handle
“It all started when a popular comedian Gbenga Adeyinka came on social media to say my dad has passed on.”
“This is the fourth time this year that this same rumor has gone viral from different sources. My dad is fine and in good health, even though he has moved from his house in Mushin to our hometown in Oshogbo.”
“My dad and i still spoke three days ago and he seems to be doing fine, i don’t know why someone will wish another man dead.”
“My Dad is alive and doing fine.” he said.
Baba-sala who is known for his hilarious comedies and outfits in the Casinoeuro early 90’s was one of the first comedy pioneers in Nigeria.
Gbenga Adeyinka however went back to his Twitter handle to apologize for the misinformation after one of baba’s sons Emmanuel Adejumo,Β  openly corrected Gbenga’s statement via Twitter

He later posted and said:

Good evening please DISREGARD the news of Baba Sala’s demise. The source has since recanted. So sorry for the misinformation.

Feeling very stupid that I just took his word for it. Sorry again,”
