Here is why residents of Festac Town are crying unto EKEDC Power Company

Following the continous blackout in Festac Town, 311 Road and adjoining roads in the Lagos Mainland community, residents of the area has cried unto the Eko Electricity Distribution Company, EKEDC, for help.

According to Vanguard, the power company stopped supplying electricity to affected areas over two weeks ago.

A source who spoke on the situation said a major feeder cable supplying the area is damaged, and this has thrown the neighbourhood into darkness.

As a result, the residents are calling for help to ensure the damaged feeder cable is fix for electricity supply to be restored to the area.

Meanwhile, it was learnt that the area has witnessed irregular power supply for a long time, even before the feeder cable was damaged.

According to reports, last June, the area had no power supply for three weeks following a car accident that led to the collapse of electric poles along 31 Road.
