See the Lagos Mainland superstars that dominated AFRIMA 2017

With top music stars, label owners and music enthusiasts all across the world gathered in one space, Lagos Mainland superstars were not left out as they ruffled feathers with some of the best hands in music and came out unscathed.

On Sunday, November 12, 2017, the grand finale of the 2017 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) held at the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites.

The event in its third edition had Lagos Mainland bred music stars outshining their compatriots from across the Lagos Island and the continent in particular.

During the event, sonorous songstress, Simi was voted the ‘Best Songwriter of the Year’, picking the much-coveted gold plated award gong.

Similarly, Festac based music star, Ycee, emerged winner of the ‘Best Artist or Group in African Hip Hop’ category much to the delight of the audience.

In addition, not only did Lagos Mainland based artistes scoop awards on the night, they also took turns to entertain the audience with exhilarating performances.

Top on the list is prolific rapper, Falz, who performed a medley of his songs with the audience singing along while Ycee also mounted the stage to perform his chart topping single ‘Juice’.

Also, Simi was the cynosure of all eyes when she came on stage to perform ‘Joromi’ with Harrysong also performed on the night where all the crème of the African entertainment industry gathered.
