Months after finalizing his move from Lagos Mainland based side, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) to Swiss side, FC ZÜRICH, leading goal poacher, Stephen Odey, has finally made his official debut for his new team.
The attacker, who led the scorer’s chart of the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL, till the last match day joined FC ZÜRICH from MFM FC in October 2017.
In addition, Odey opened his scoring for the U21 side of FC ZÜRICH by grabbing a goal and two assists in the game against Old Boys FC over the weekend.
Prior to his move to Europe, Agege born Odey is the all-time top scorer for MFM FC and also the highest goal scorer for MFM in the just concluded NPFL season with 18 league goals.
Odey played in the second edition of GTBank-Lagos State Principals Cup where he was the captain of the winning side, Dairy Farm Senior Secondary School, Agege. At that time, the attacker topped the list of the GTBank 13-man all-star team of the year which allowed him train at CampGTBank alongside 23 other students under former coach of Arsenal FC, Mark Elis.
