Elderly people living in Lagos to get paid; find out when

Following the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s speech during the 2017 International Day of Older Persons recently held at the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa- Ikeja, the governor has once again reassured the senior citizens in the state at the  2017 fourth Quarter Town Hall Meeting held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at  Ogudu, Lagos Mainland.

Ambode while speaking at the town hall meeting, stated that state government will establish centres for the elderly for integration and networking among the elderly persons. He also added that special budgetary provisions will be made for the elderly from next year and that will be a policy direction for the state government.

The governor also charged the Local Government Areas to pay attention to the needs of the elderly persons in their communities as the care of the aged remains one of his administration priorities.
