Lagos Mainland teachers equipped with technology skills

The Lagos State Education 1 has empowered its mathematics teachers with advanced technology to aid the teaching of the subject in classrooms.

The teachers were equipped with the skills during the recently held workshop in Ojodu tagged as “Mathematics Workshop And Technology – The Missing Link” in commemoration of the 2017 World Teachers Day celebration.

According to the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District 1, Dr. Olufolayimika Ayandele, the workshop was informed by the need for learners to master mathematics.

She stressed that technology is important these days in teaching the subject saying “technology infuse the right methodology to use in proper assimilation of the subject”.

Dr. Ayandele also reiterated the commitment of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in ensuring that teachers develop maximally.

The workshop which featured more than 200 participants ensured that the teachers were put through the importance of leveraging computer gadgets, softwares and online materials to make teaching of mathematics interesting to the learners.
