As part of efforts by the Federal Government to give the agricultural sector optimal attention while, promoting youth participation in agri-business, the Federal Government in partnership with Agege Local Government Area and held a step down training for N- Power (N – Agro) beneficiaries today Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Agege Local Government Secretariat hall.
The event which was held to sensitise youth on the importance of agric participation, had in attendance the Executive Chairman, Agege Local Government Area, Hon. Ganiyu Kola Edunjobi; Vice Chairman, Agege LGA, Prince Abiodun Ogunji; Head of Information Officer, Mrs. Ilesanmi Fajinmi Olubukola, Head of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Mrs. A. Adetola among many others.
N-Agro is one of the seven programmes put in place by the Federal Government under the N-Power scheme to provide a platform where Nigerian youths can access skills acquisition and development in the agricultural sector.
This programme is targeted at Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 to 35. The seminar which is set to hold for a week was widely accepted as it was well attended by youths in the community.
