The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has announced the death of one of its Commissioners, Hon. Lateef Oludare Raji who passed away in the early hours of today, Monday, August 14, 2017.
InsideMainland learnt that Hon. Raji succumbed to the cold hands of death around 4:00 am in his Magodo – Lagos home after battling with an undisclosed ailment. He was 54 years old.
His death came as a shock to the people around him as he recently returned from a medical trip abroad. Plans are also underway to move his remains to his hometown in Ido Ani, Ondo State, for his burial, InsideMainland gathered.
Prior to his death, Hon, Lateef Raji was a serving member of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) Committee.
He was a former member of Lagos House of Assembly and a former Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. He also served as a Commissioner under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He is survived by his wife, Alhaja Raji and children.
