Following the shocking discovery of a ‘den’ used by kidnappers to commit evil acts in Obadeyi, Ojokoro, the lawmaker representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rasheed Makinde, has condemned the atrocities of the ritual killers in the area.
Hon. Makinde described the discovery as one that will help reawaken the need for the people to take security of lives and properties serious in their community and environs.
“I thank God for the discovery of this dark haven of the kidnappers. Although I’m somewhat taken aback that such a thing could happen in an area well secured as Ojokoro, I want to state clearly that no stone will be left unturned to tackle the issue to a conclusive point.
“Our youths are the ones I will focus more on so as to hinder them being dragged into such illicit act”. Makinde stated.
He further disclosed that he would facilitate efforts to orientate unemployed youths in his constituency about the need to engage themselves positively so as not to be dragged into such fledgling devilish enterprise.
Recall that InsideMainland earlier reported the shocking discovery of the underground den used by kidnappers in the heart of Ojokoro, Lagos.
The discovery has since left the area in a state of apprehension with residents, commuters and passerby alike gripped by tension.
While reacting to the incident, the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) mobilized officers to the scene to ensure there is no breakdown of law and order.
InsideMainland reliably gathered that one of the arrested suspects confessed to being part of a 28-member group operating under the canal.
In addition, one of the suspects who was set ablaze following their arrest by angry residents yesterday, Tuesday, August 8, 2017, survived the mob action. He is reportedly under close watch where he is receiving treatment.
