Unknown armed men kidnap Ikeja LG clerk, demand N20 million ransom

Report reaching InsideMainland has it that unknown armed men have abducted the Clerk of Ikeja Local Government, Samsudeen Omotayo. It was learnt that the unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, August 2, 2017, in Imota area of Ikorodu, Lagos, while the LG clerk was on his way to work.

According to PM News, the kidnappers have already established contact and are demanding a N20 million ransom for the release of the clerk.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Ikeja LG, Engr.  Mojeed Balogun has confirmed the kidnap saying the council was working frantically to ensure his safe and speedy release.

Also speaking in a statement, the Information Officer, Ikeja LG, Mr Onilegbale said the kidnappers had contacted the Head of Administration of the Council Area, Mrs  Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka demanding for N20 million ransom.

In the meantime, efforts still ongoing by security agencies to ensure his immediate release
