UNILAG concludes plans for ‘Africa Sings 7’

The students from the Creative Arts Department of one of Nigeria’s foremost institutions of leaning, the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has finalized plans to stage the 7th edition of the fun filled concert ‘Africa Sings 7’. Africa Sings is an annual chorale put together by students of the School.

With this year’s edition tagged as ‘Classic to the Street’, the musical event is scheduled to hold on tomorrow, Tuesday, August 1, 2017, inside the expansive UNILAG main auditorium by 4: 00 pm.

Speaking on the event, the lecturer in charge of the programme, Dr. Albert Oikelome, said; “It is a wonderful feeling knowing the seventh edition of Africa Sings is around the corner. I thank God for the wisdom to handle it. Seven is a number of perfection; we hope this year’s edition would be the best.”

Unlike previous editions of the annual concert, this year’s edition is already the main talk on campus and in other campuses that have creative arts at the core of their arts faculties.

Intending participants from different affiliations have been jostling to have a piece of the action. In addition, the Mountain Top University chorale is announced by the organizers as one of the invited groups to spice up that day.

Students and other Mainlanders who intend to be a part of the event are guaranteed adequate security with the admission to the event free.
