Newly elected council Chairman task members on quality performance

Fresh from taking the oath of office, the newly elected Ikorodu Local Government Chairman under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Wasiu Adesina, today, Thursday, July 27, 2017, inaugurated the 5th Local Government House.

During the inauguration, the council head urged the lawmakers to support the executive arm of government in bringing developments to the council.

The occasion held at the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat hall, Ikorodu, with top dignitaries and other political chieftains in attendance.

Commenting on the exercise, Hon. Adesina said the lawmakers to brace up for the challenges ahead.

“We have a lot to prove for voters who elected us into office because it is important for us to deliver on our campaign promises.

“There is a lot ahead of us to ensure Ikorodu remains the desire local government area in the state. We need to commence the drive for the much development needed in Ikorodu to better the lives of our people,” he said.

Similarly, the Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi held the swearing – in ceremony for the members of the Agege Local Government Area Legislative House today, Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Agege LG secretariat.

During the event, the Leaders of the House were administered the oath of office as the officers also held a proclamation and the first session of the House.

For Orile Agege Local Council Development Area, the Legislative House consist Wale Fayemi as Leader of the House; Azeez Akinola as Deputy Leader; Ibrahim Obanla as Majority Leader; Kayode Sorunke as Chief Whip; with Wahab Adeoye and Olusegun Omotoye as Members of the House.
