LG Polls: Check out the list of validated candidates by LASIEC

Ahead of the forthcoming council elections across the 57 LGs and LCDAs in Lagos State, the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has released the list of validated candidates to contest Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in the polls.

Prior to the release of the validated list, the Commission had in line with his statutory responsibilities, requested all the candidates whose names were submitted to it by the various political parties vying for elective offices in the forthcoming elections to appear before it for validation.

As a result, candidates from each of the parties whose names were presented by their parties were mandated to present required documents specified in the Election Guidelines to enable their screening and subsequent validation by LASIEC.

According to the list released by LASIEC, a total of 12 political parties presented candidates for the Chairmanship and Councillorship posts for the polls.

The parties include Accord Party (AP), Action Alliance (AA), Alliance for Democracy (AD), All Progressives Congress (APC), KOWA Party (KP), Labour Party (LP), and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Others are Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), United Progressive Party (UPP), National Action Council (NAC), United Democratic Party (UDP) and Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM).

Recall that the highly anticipated council election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 22, 2017, across the 57 LGs and LCDAs in Lagos State.

Find below list of some of the validated candidates by LASIEC in Kosofe, Ifako Ijaiye, Odi – Olowo, Ikosi-Isheri, Ajeromi, Agboyi-Ketu and more.
