Chief Kamorudeen Lamina aka Sir K Oluwo, the notorious land grabber kingpin who was arrested one week ago and remanded in prison custody for land grabbing allegations is still behind bars despite being granted bail by the Special Offences Court, Oshodi.
The suspect is still in custody owing to his failure to meet his bail conditions.
According to PM news, the land grabber kingpin failed to present qualified persons to stand as surety.
In his ruling, Magistrate Lateef Owolabi had granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N1 million and two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties must be a land owner in Lagos, while the other must be a civil servant not below grade level 15. In addition, the sureties must have three years tax clearance and registration with Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA).
Recall that On Friday, 16 June, 2017, the Lagos State Special Task Force on Land Grabbers arraigned Chief Lamina and other arrested members of his gang on a six count charge before the Special Offences Court, Oshodi.
Meanwhile, the development has led to jubilation amongst residents of Ikorodu community who expressed their happiness and delight at the arrest and immediate arraignment of the notorious land grabber.
Many of the residents opined that the suspect had brought inexpressible pain and anguish on the people of Ikorodu community during his long reign of terror.
