Ambode commissions Ijegun-Isheri road

As part of activities marking the Lagos @ 50 celebrations, the Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday, May 3 2017, commissioned the Ijegun-Isheri road/Osun-Isolo road project in the Alimosho area of the state.

The total length of the road is 6500 metres and with average width being 20.350 metres.

The dual carriage way road project, which included two bridges at Isheri Oshun and Ailegun junction, drains on both sides, service ducts and street lighting, among others, is a viable alternative route for people of Ijegun, Ijeododo and Isheri Oshun to link Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway through Jakande Estate.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Wasiu Anifowose said the project would greatly improve connectivity and significantly reduce travel time due to traffic congestion in the area.

According to him, “in the last two years, this administration had remained focused on the promise to provide good governance and make life more comfortable for the people.”

Anifowose urged the residents to continue to support the Akinwunmi Ambode administration as more dividends of democracy are on the way.

Traditional rulers, Community Leaders, major stakeholders and other residents were present at the commissioning ceremony.
