Hours after calmness returned to Idi-Oro in Mushin community following the arrest of eight suspects that engaged in wreaking havoc in the community earlier today, another fight broke out in the axis few minutes ago which led to the death of at least three persons.
During the fracas between the Alamutu Market Boys and Idi-Oro Transport Union, three persons belonging to the Alamutu group were allegedly killed while several houses razed and vehicles damaged, InsideMainland gathered.
The fight we learnt broke out after the union officers stormed the Alamutu market to collect revenue. An argument ensued which led to a major brawl in the axis between the NURTW officers and Alamutu Market boys.
As a result, the union boys killed three of the market boys while others fled for safety.
The Alamutu Boys then regrouped where they launched a reprisal attack on the union boys. In their quest to hurt the NURTW boys, the Alamutu group set four houses on fire while cars were also destroyed.
“The houses that were set on fire belonged to some of the union boys,” a source told our correspondent.
Meanwhile, InsideMainland learnt that the Police officers around the axis couldn’t stop the gang war which broke out between the two groups.
Consequently military personnel from Abati Barracks have been deployed to the area to restore calm to the community.
