LSETF Team storms Apapa LG tomorrow for Grassroots Engagement & Education

As part of the ongoing efforts to enlighten Lagos residents on the application process and requirements for the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, LSEFT, the officers of the agency would visit the Apapa Local Government tomorrow, March 22, 2017.

The storm is in continuation of the Grassroots Engagement and Education on the LSETF loan scheme billed to hold across 20 LGAs in Lagos.

You would recall that the interactive and very engaging event commenced at the Agege Local Government last Tuesday, March 14, 2017. The team had also visited the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government where residents trooped to receive the LSETF officers in numbers.

A Lagos State Government initiative, the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) is created as part of its commitment to boost the Lagos economy through job creation, leverage and access to finance for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) and Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SMEs) operating in the State.

LSETFs’ mandate also include provision of training for the unemployed and job placements for the employable; mentorship and support for SME owners and improvement of the policy environment to ensure a conducive operational environment for small businesses in the state.

Through this scheme promoters and owners of micro-startups can get a loan of N250,000; micro-business can get a loan of up to N500,000; while small-businesses can get a loan of up to N5,000,000 all at 5% interest rate per annum.
