Lagos Task Force arrests 4 notorious criminals in Oshodi, recover stolen laptop

The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force have apprehended four notorious criminals terrorizing residents and other passerby along the Oshodi under bridge. During the arrest, the Task Force recovered a stolen laptop from the suspects.

The suspects; Ojo Olaomo, Ola Akinwunmi, Okiki Nurudeen, and Damilare Balogun, were arrested by the monitoring team of the Agency who were strategically positioned around Oshodi.

It was learnt that the suspects specialises in dispossessing innocent citizens of their valuables such as phones, laptops, necklaces, wrist-watches, and ear-rings.

Commenting on the arrest, the Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force SP Olayinka Egbeyemi said that the culprits were arrested immediately they snatched a laptop from a woman identified simply as Mrs. Adebambo at Oshodi under bridge.

Upon their arrest, one of the suspects, Okiki Nurudeed told the Task Force he coordinates the activities of the gang on a daily basis. He added that the stolen items are supplied to Computer Village, Ikeja or Obalende where the items are sold to unsuspecting citizens as fairly used ones.

While urging residents to be wary of buying fairly used items, SP Egbeyemi disclosed that anyone caught buying stolen items from criminals would not be spared from prosecution.

He stressed that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Mr Fatai Owoseni has been briefed on the arrest of the suspects adding that they would be immediately charged to court.
