Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to visit Ebute-Metta tomorrow

Nigeria’s acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his government functionaries will visit Ebute-Metta tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

The visit by the acting President is to flag-off the ground breaking commencement of the construction of Lagos-Ibadan Railway Line.

The project is the second segment of the Lagos-Kano Standard Gauge Railway System with an extension to the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa.

The historic event is scheduled to commence by 11:00 am at the Ebute-Metta Railway Terminal, Lagos and will be attended by important dignitaries cutting across the spectrum of the society including State Governors, Captains of Industry and Stakeholders in the Transportation Sector.

The Hon. Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, will be the Chief Host for the ground breaking ceremony.

The Lagos-Kano Railway Standard Gauge Project once completed, is expected to bridge the infrastructural deficit in the Transportation Sector of the economy as well as generate employment.
