Yemisi Fancy’s #MyMainlandDiary: My first radio tour

It’s been a minute. They say time flies when you are having fun. But mine is time flies when you have a lot do. I love being busy though because it keeps my mind, body and soul together. Since the release of my single this year, there’s been a lot of work to do, but I’m thankful for the opportunity.  I don’t have a lot to say today, but I’m going to share my first radio tour experience with you guys.

So my Lagos radio tour started about two weeks ago. I was privileged to have interviews on some amazing platforms. The first radio station I visited was Lagos Talks FM. At the time I went there,  I didn’t really know much about the station because it is a new platform.  But the OAP who conducted my interview was pretty amazing and I enjoyed every bit of it.

A day after, I had an interview at Naija FM. I was pretty much excited until I learnt I had to speak pidgin English all through. Incase you don’t know this,  my pidgin English can be awful. So I practically became a little nervous before the interview wondering if I was going to mess up with my weird pidgin English. But, I got In there and it was like magic. The interview was so much fun I forgot I was a little nervous initially. The OAP, Osam was funny and so lively.

One day after my Naija FM interview, I was at Beat FM which happens to be the most interactive one I had all week. Osi, the OAP, was pretty fun and interactive. It was a short interview, but I enjoyed every bit of it.

What I love the most about the radio tour wasn’t the fact that I had to visit radio stations, but because I had a shot at doing something I hadn’t really done before and wanted to do.  I always say this to people around me; in all that you do, be the best you can be. Don’t let anyone tell you can’t because Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Take one day at a time and it will all come together someday. I’m taking a day at time with myself and I’m loving it.

It’s another day again!! Make sure you treat your self to something amazing. Remember you only live once.

TGIF (Thank God I’m Fancy)
