Relief as Surulere lawmaker donates school bus to her constituency

Succor has come the way of Surulere residents as a lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency II, Hon. Mosunmola Sangodara, gave back to members of her community on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.

Hon. Sangodara who is the Minority Whip in the Lagos State House of Assembly, donated a brand new 32-seater bus to kick-start her ‘Free Ride To School’ scheme for students in her constituency.

According to the lawmaker, the process is borne out of the need to give back to members of her community as well as contributing to the development of the education sector.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony of the Free Ride To School bus, Hon. Sangodara said she chose to do this for its usefulness towards helping parents convey their children to school.

In her words, “this is another contribution aside the distribution of exercise books to pupils for the development of our education sector. We should be seen to walk the talk. It is not all about making loud pronouncement, but making genuine efforts towards addressing our problems”.
