Few hours ago, protesters stormed the Mobolaji Bank Anthony, Ikeja office of the Nigerian Customs Service demanding justice following the death of a motorcyclist, Omotosho Zaheed who was shot by a customs officer in Ojokoro, Alagbado axis of Lagos. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
The protesters, wielding placards trooped to the custom office in droves demanding that the deceased is innocent and not guilty as reported by the customs service.
It would be recalled that the Zaheed passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016, after custom officers on routine operation in the area intercepted a trailer load of bags of rice believed to have been smuggled into the country.
During the process, hoodlums in the area reportedly stopped the officers from seizing the goods which led to the officers shooting sporadically in the air.
The deceased was hit by a stray bullet during the process leading to his death on the spot.
