Few weeks after the Lagos State Government completed the official commissioning of 114 Roads Project across the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has revealed that the state will commence bidding process for another set of roads in three weeks.
Ambode disclosed this during the 3rd Quarter Town Hall Meeting which held at the Sir Chief (Dr) Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere, Lagos.
Speaking during the event, Ambode said the need to invest in infrastructural development across the State is aimed at eliminating the pains of residents who use the roads daily.
While giving the time frame for the bidding process, Ambode said, “In the next 3 weeks, the bidding process for the next phase of 114 community roads will commence across the LGAs/LCDA. It is my strong desire to eliminate the pains of Lagosians by reducing the accident rates on Lagos roads.”
He stressed that his administration will continually make life easier for Lagosians through reduction in travel time in the State.
You will recall that the official commissioning of the newly constructed 114 roads across Lagos commenced at Jimoh Street, Ikorodu North on Saturday, September 17, 2016, and ended at Anifowose Street, Somolu on Saturday, September 24, 2016.
