In a bid to interact with traders and seek their views on his governance in the State, Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has concluded plans to visit markets around the State. InsideMainland gathered the visit will allow Ambode gather expectations of traders from his administration.
Ambode revealed his plans through his Special Adviser on Community and Communications, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan. According to Bamigbetan, the five markets chosen for the pilot phase of the market activation campaign are; Aiyetoro, Sabo, Sura, Oke-Odo and Alaba International/Rago markets.
Commenting on the development, Bamigbetan said, “the governor will visit these markets as a means of strengthening the relationship of the government with the Lagos market community by connecting with traders and communicating the numerous people-focused developmental activities of the government to the people.”
“It is a fulfillment of the governor’s pledge that his government will be an all-inclusive government, which will focus on community development,” he added.
Similarly, Bamigbetan revealed that traders who had been law abiding and supportive of the state government’s initiatives would be rewarded during the visitation process.
