Ambode Sacks LASEMA Head, Appoints New One

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has sacked the General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr. Michael Akindele. His dismissal was contained in a statement released to press men today, September, 19, 2016.

The governor has since appointed Tiamiyu Adesina in his place to continue handling the affairs of the agency.

Prior to becoming LASEMA head, Akindele, between the year 2004 and 2007, served as special assistant on health to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, during his time as governor of Lagos. He was also a former vice chairman of Ikeja local government area.

Akindele was appointed the General Manager of LASEMA in July 2015 following the sack of Femi Oke-Osanyintolu.
