Lagos orders residents to vacate sinking house in Owode Elede area

The Lagos state government has ordered the residents of a sinking building located on Thomas street, Owode Elede area of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA to vacate the building immediately so as to prevent the loss of life which may result from the collapse of the building.

The Sole Administrator of the council,Aremo Adewale Abdul gave the order on Saturday, while monitoring the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the council area. He instructed the occupants of the dilapidated, sinking building  to vacate by Monday.

Aremo warned that failure to do so will result in sealing up of the building by the council which will  as a matter of urgency draw the attention of the Lagos State Government to the precarious condition of the building, in order to pave way for demolition.
