Robbery in Lagos escalates as another victim narrates ordeal

Despite Governor Ambode’s promise as well as the Lagos Police Command said crackdown of criminal elements in the state, daily attacks on innocent Lagos residents seem to be on the rise.

This morning a resident of Ebute- Metta, Prince Tico narrated on twitter his ordeal. He said that a three-man armed robbery gang attacked injuring him with a cutlass as was leaving his home at about 6.00am.

The victim said the robbery gang made away with his iPad, phones, money, documents and cheque book.

While stating that early morning robbery has been ongoing in the neighborhood for some time, Tico appealed to the government to ensure security of lives and property. “This is what we face in Lagos on a daily basis now. I did not vote Ambode for this. I was attacked this morning. This has been going on for a very long time. Guess today was my turn. They were three guys and I was hit with a cutlass. They even attacked my friend the other day. We need serious security here.

“Help me beg Lagos State government to help us with security situation in Ebute Metta.I just left the hospital with a stitched head. My iPad, money and cheque  book with some other gadgets gone”.
