52 Hoodlums apprehended in Mushin

The Lagos State police commissioner Edgal Imohimi during a recent raid in Mushin area of Lagos Mainland has apprehended over 52 hoodlums with some illegal substance.

At the time of the raid N20m worth of Indian hemp was discovered in their position.

CP Imohimi speaking on Thursday, October 5, 2017, made this  known; stating  that 52 suspects were apprehended during the raid. The raid, he said, was as a result of the violent clash between two rivaling gangs in the area which left about 150 cars vandalized.

It was gathered that these hoodlums usually engage in street fights which they use as a medium to rob residents of their properties, valuables and putting lives at risk.

The incident and complains from residents, lead the CP to order a raid of the vicinity, he confirmed that 44 male and 8 female suspects were arrested with 38 bags of Indian hemp, saying that the drugs are packaged and referred to as the ‘bible’.

The commissioner in his statement appreciated the public for their efforts and support and reminded the people of his community policing plan.

He urged that the public should always be at alert and report any illegal activities.
