Ebute-Ikorodu residents express fear over impending disaster

Weeks after InsideMainland reported the impending disaster at Fadeke Oyenusi street, Ebute – Ikorodu, residents of the area has expressed shock over the level of inactivity to avert the danger.

Recall that InsideMainland reported the two light poles carrying NIPP transformer in the area is about to fall due to erosion wish washed away the foundation holding the poles.

Presently, the two poles are been supported by wooden poles and urgent attention is needed to avert the impending danger.

Residents who spoke to InsideMainland complained about the neglect of the situation by power distribution company, Ikeja Electric, towards finding a lasting solution to the issue.

Also, the residents stressed that the community has reached out to the power company on different occasions but the efforts hasn’t yielded the desired result.

In a message sent to Ikeja Electric Plc and exclusively obtained by InsideMainland, the residents decried the present state of the poles urging the company to urgently make arrangements to avert the impending danger.
