There is currently apprehension in Ota – Ona, Ikorodu, Lagos following the arrest of three men suspected to members of the dreaded cult group otherwise known as Badoo that has terrorized Ikorodu community for a while now.
According to sources who spoke to InsideMainland, the suspects were arrested this morning, Sunday, July 16, 2017, along the axis by residents who held vigil to protect their area from the havoc caused by the gang.
A resident told InsideMainland the suspects were almost lynched by the angry residents but were prevented from doing so by gallant Police officers who rushed to the scene after news of the arrest filtered around Ikorodu community.
“Presently, the irate mob are on the prowl while the Police are busy dispersing them with sporadic gun shots,” an Ikorodu resident tweeted at InsideMainland.
Speaking to a member of the Onyabo Vigilante group, he told our correspondent that “we can’t confirm if they are Badoo members or not. The residents are bent on jungle justice but we are trying to calm the situation with the support of the Police.”
Efforts to reach the Lagos Police Spokesperson, ASP Olarinde Famous – Cole for comments is ongoing.
