Yet another suspected member of the serial killer group otherwise known as Badoo met his waterloo in Igbo – Oluwo area of Ikorodu, today, Friday, June 30, 2017.
It was gathered that the suspect was apprehended by residents in the early hours of the morning after he attempted to break into a building alongside his gang member before nemesis caught up with him. The suspect and his accomplice, now at large, rubbed oil on their bodies to prevent people from holding them – a tactic used by most Badoo gang members.
He was however arrested before he could cause harm to anyone in the building which is located in one of the very remote ends of Igbo – Oluwo community in Ikorodu.
Upon his arrest, the suspect was beaten to a pulp by residents before he was marched to Jumofak bus stop and set ablaze. The incident has led to panic to some residents in the area while others are in a jubilant mood for the capture of an unidentified man suspected to be a member of the dreaded gang.
Efforts to reach the Lagos Police Command spokesperson, Olarinde Famous-Cole for comments at press time proved futile.
Earlier yesterday it was agreed in the meeting held by traditional rulers in Ikorodu and those concerned that there would be cleansing traditional rites in the communities as part of the measures to put an end to this menace called Badoo. Residents were therefore asked to stay indoors from 12:00 am on Friday 30th, June till 5.30am, July 1, 2017.
