As part of his efforts to aid skills acquisition in Agege Local Government, the Sole Administrator of the LG, Hon. Gbenga Abiola, has completed construction of a vocational training the workshop where residents can learn shoemaking and carpentry in the local government secretariat.
The feat, which is the first of its kind in the local government, is aimed at tackling unemployment and poverty in the Community, Hon. Gbenga Abiola said.
Following the completion of the unit, interested youths and individuals in the area can apply to learn and acquire the needed skills to become a professional in carpentry, shoemaking and other related fields of endeavour.
InsideMainland learnt that upon the completion of the project, the workshop will be commissioned soon ahead of its opening towards the training of youths and young adults in the area.
