In the aftermath of the hassle between the resident doctors of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and the hospital management over unpaid salaries which led to an office shut down, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Chris Bode said that the crisis has been resolved.
Prof. Bode made the disclosure during a round table family meeting with the union officials yesterday, June 11, 2017.
“The recent crisis that surfaced between management and some union members at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital has been amicably resolved,” he said.
He added that measures had been put in place to make the hospital the preferred destination for Nigerians in need of specialized medical care.
You will recall that InsideMainland reported the crisis that rocked the hospital in May 2017. At that time, the resident doctors staged a protest which led to some of the doctors sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
