Commuters and residents along the popular Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja, can rejoice to a good news after the Lagos State Government led by Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode announced that plans are underway to rehabilitate road.
The development was announced by Ambode through Mr. Ayotunde Sodeinde, Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Public Works Corporation, LSPWC, during a road inspection in Ikeja.
“Re-construction will commence on the Obafemi Awolowo way and Billings way Oregun in the next one week. It is this mandate, political will, vision and support of the governor that has really done the magic,” Sodeinde narrated.
He continued that “we have been able to reconstruct virtually all the roads in the Ikeja environs; namely Mobolaji Johnson Avenue in Alausa, Adebayo Akande street, Oregun, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Oba Akran Avenue, Akilo road, Ajoke Sokoya street and Aderinola Olamiju street in Ojodu just to mention a few.”
Commending the State governor, Akinwumi Ambode for his efforts in transforming the State, Sodeinde, urged residents to continue pay their taxes to enable the government provide basic social amenities.
