Motorists driving along the usually busy Ikorodu road, Apapa, and the Lagos – Ibadan expressway are be sweating it out at the moment owing to the heavy gridlock on the axes.
Due to the rush hour, the Ikorodu road is currently blocked from the Anthony stretch till the Ketu under bridge. Currently, Mainlanders are left stranded at the popular Ojota and Maryland bus stops due to lack of buses as a result of the number of commercial buses that are held in the gridlock.
Also motorists plying the Lagos – Ibadan expressway are currently clenching their fists due to the traffic gridlock which was caused by the ongoing expansion work on that axis. As a result, motorists using the Ojota through Motorways end of the bridge are held in a gridlock same as the commuters on the opposing end of the lane driving from Motorways through Oworonshoki.
The traffic gridlock has also extended to parts of Lagos such as 7Up, Billings Way, Oregun, Oluyole and Olusosun end of Lagos.
Similarly, the Apapa through Oshodi end of Lagos is currently blocked while motorists driving to the National Stadium, Surulere through Eko Bridge are also in a gridlock as well.
