Bleak Christmas For Nigerian Breweries As Fire Guts Iganmu Headquarters

While residents across Lagos are enjoying the Christmas season, reverse was the case for officers of multinational company, Nigerian Breweries.

In the early hours of this morning, a section of the headquarters of the company erupted in flames.

Presently, the inferno has affected parts of the warehouse of the company as fire fighters of the Federal Fire Service and the Nigeria Police Force battle to quench the inferno.

According to a resident who spoke to InsideMainland, “the fire has affected structures in the building and we fear it might affected nearby houses if not urgently quenched.”

Moments ago, the Nigerian Breweries released a statement addressing the inferno at Iganmu.

According to the brand, “the fire outbreak at Lagos Plant of NB has been contained. No injuries or casualties.”

“Only empty bottles and crates were impacted and operations was not affected”, the statement further reads.
