Residents of Joseph Harrison Estate, Yaba, were thrown into some sort of panic after a letter detailing plans of a robbery attack addressed to inhabitants of the estate by bandits was discovered by one of the residents.
In the letter, the robbers urged the residents to prepare to pay the season’s dues to them on an undisclosed date.
According to Bella Naija, the letter was placed on the vehicle of one of the residents who discovered it in the morning when he was about to wash his car.
The letter reads; “We are coming this week to collect our dues and to visit you tenants and landlords of Joseph Harrison Street. If you like go and bring police or soldiers, we are coming to perform our duties. If you cooperate, we will not kill, but if you fail to cooperate, blood will flow.”
According to the Chairman of the Community Development Association of the estate, Bolanle Akinyemi, the robbery threat has been reported at the Sabo Police Division. It was gathered that sterner security measures have been put in place around the estate as more guards and Police operative have been deployed to the area.
