Gunmen Attack Secondary School; Kidnap Principal, Students

Gunmen invaded Igbo Nla Model College, a secondary school in the Epe axis of Lagos State earlier today, October, 6, 2016, kidnapping the school vice principal and students.

The gunmen reportedly stormed the school premises shooting sporadically into the air to scare away students before heading to the office of the vice principal. They reportedly abducted the vice principal and some students, forced them into a waiting boat before they escaped through the water ways.

It was gathered that the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have been deployed to the school. Reports also have it that two of the abducted students were rescued in a nearby bush while the search for the others continues.

This is not the first case of abduction in a secondary school in Lagos. You will recall that gunmen stormed Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School, Agunfoye, Ikorodu, on March 2, 2016, where they abducted three female students. The students were rescued afterwards by security operatives of the State Government.
