Festac business man released after six weeks in kidnappers den

After spending almost seven weeks in kidnappers’ den, Mr James Uduji, the chairman of Comestar Company was released this Tuesday morning October 20, 2015, by his abductors.

Recall that Mr Uduji, was kidnapped in the Festac area of Lagos on the 7th of September, 2015 with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of $1million (about N250million) for his release.

The family was said to have paid the sum of N100 million, but his abductors refused to him go, insisting that the balance of N150 million must be paid or he will be killed.

It could not be ascertained if the family eventually paid the N150 million demanded by the kidnappers.
