Excitement as Lagos State commences repair works on dilapidated Ikorodu-Sagamu road

The Lagos State Government has commenced rehabilitation work on the Ikorodu-Sagamu Road which has been in complete state of disrepair and a burden to the residents.

The mobilisation of men, machines and materials for the repairs sparked excitement in the area. The residents also thanked their representative at the Lagos House of Assembly, Sanai Agunbiade for personally putting pressure on the government and severally moving motions on the floor of the House calling on the government to act on the road.

The residents explained that they had almost taken to fate after several calls to the government did not yield any positive result. “The worst is that this road is a federal road and it is along the road that the office of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, is located. Many times, officials of the Lagos State Government had been frustrated while trying to work on this road. It is whenever the officials of Lagos State get here that FERMA would suddenly realise that the road belongs to the Federal Government,”
